Job summary
We are looking for a full time Dental Imaging Support to join our multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will be assisting radiographers in the Dental Radiology clinics on both the Guy's and St Thomas' sites . Requires to chaperone vulnerable young children and adults during procedures when required.
The department is currently open Monday to Friday, 8:30am until 5:00pm and 8:30am until 8:00pm on late clinic. The successful candidate will be required to work 7.5 hours a day, 8:30-17:00/11:30-20:00 Late Clinic @Guys and 8:45-17:15 @STH - Rotational Work.
The successful candidate will be expected to work with the other dental imaging support, CRIS Admin & Secretaries to provide an efficient service to patients and staff.
Applicants should have a good general education up to GCSE standard or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics and possess basic computer and keyboard skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Clinical Support - Supporting the Radiographers and Consultant Radiologists
- Chaperone vulnerable young children and adults during procedures when required
- Processing dental radiographic images using computers and digital processors as well as conventional film and chemical based systems when required
- Care and maintenance of the processing equipment
- Scanning, Copying & Uploading radiographs in line with information governance guidelines
- Work in the Reception in a rota basis
- Work in St Thomas in rota basis - Supporting Radiographers in the Clinic.
- Manned & maintained generic NHS.net email
- Other Administrative tasks
- Ordering & Receiving Consumables & Stocktaking
- Support Consultant in absence of Nurses
- Manned Reception
- Manage department phone during CRIS Administrator's absence.
- Organise patient transport around the hospital, on discharge and for other internal appointments.

The department is situated on the 23rd Floor of Guy's Tower, right in the heart of the Guy's Dental Hospital. We provide a full diagnostic service to all clinical departments within the Dental Hospital as well as a comprehensive teaching programme in dental radiography and radiology for the Dental School.
