Job summary
BAND 8A SENIOR RADIOTHERAPY PHYSICIST
We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated radiotherapy physicist who will have a particular involvement in external beam dosimetry and QA support within the section. The post holder will also be actively involved in other areas of clinical radiotherapy physics as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will come into contact and liaise with a wide range of staff in Medical Physics, Radiotherapy and across the Trust and regionalnetwork partners, as well as with external equipment manufacturers and service suppliers.
This will include working closely with consultant and junior medical staff, therapy radiographers, senior nurses, clinical nurse specialists, alliedhealth professionals, general managers, works staff, and administrative and clerical support staff.

Essential
- Good (1st or 2nd class) honours degree in a relevant subject
- Relevant MSc or higher degree
- Qualified to act as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in radiotherapy (or able to within 12 months)
- State registration as a Clinical Scientist

- Full Member of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (or equivalent)
