Job responsibilities

To provide clinical leadership and the provision of high quality care

Overall day to day responsibility for all non invasive, cath lab and electrophysiology cardiac physiologists.

To provide professional and personal support to all team members

Ensure an efficient and smooth running department working collaboratively with other departments to ensure efficient lists in both non invasive and cath lab waiting lists

To be responsible for the control of budgets within this area

To play a role in the continuous development of the clinical group as a member of the cardiology team

To communicate effectively with patients and relatives as well as the staff

To develop and implement policies and protocols in conjunction with cardiac physiology specialist leads

Person Specification

Knowl

Essential

• BSc or equivalent
• Commitment to CPD
• Extensive post graduate experience
• Previous clinical management
• Technical knowledge of equipment and QA
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to train and motivate
• Proven leadership qualities
• Ability to work in an MDT

Desirable

• Experience in leading research projects
• Post graduate qualification

• 5-10 years experience
• Proven leadership qualities
• Previous leadership experience
