Head of training and Development and clinical tutor in Cardiac Physiology
The role attracts an RRP of £5130.00. The current end date for RRP is 30th April 23 and this is reviewed each year.
We are looking for an inspirational figure with a passion for teaching in a range of Cardiac investigation. First and foremost you will be a leader, with reputation for quality and a keenness to develop the next generation of Physiologists and Clinical Scientists. The successful candidate will be joining our senior team in leading research, innovation and education.
You will need to be a good communicator so complex information can be disseminated to a range of stakeholders. You will need to have AHCS registered practitioner or HCPC registered as a Clinic Scientist with a relevant master's level qualification or doctorate. You should have relevant professional qualifications and evidence of post graduate development is essential.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties of the Job
As Head of training and development and clinical tutor in Cardiac Physiology at Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust you will provide advice and support to staff working within the trust. You will develop, lead and manage the training and development service, provide specialists knowledge to other disciplines and support the clinical work of the trust for agreed programmed sessions. The role would also include an on-call commitment to our 24/7 service.
This post is suited to a Registered Clinical Scientist they will be expected to manage and perform Clinical Physiology duties in all areas of Cardiology while acting as the professional lead for staff working in these environments.
As lead in training you will be required to undertaking department projects and initiatives across Cardiac Physiology and to deputies in service leads absence.
The department has a large commitment to education. The expectation would be to conduct tutorials, training sessions, direct observations of practice and case based discussions as well as the assessment of on line learning
