Wenow have a fantastic opportunity for a creative and passionate person to join DigitalHealth.London which is part of the Health Innovation Network (HIN). We are looking for someone who can help support healthcare technology companies scale in the NHS. The Project Support Assistant is an integral member of the team, aiding in the smooth and successful delivery of the programme. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a growing team that have supported companies like Perfect Ward, Babylon, Visionable and Patchwork in past cohorts.

Innovation is at the heart of everything we do, from delivering transformational programmes to improving patient pathways, or internally with our wide range of health and mental health wellbeing initiatives. Working at the HIN you could benefit from great health and wellbeing support which currently includes free yoga, book club, lunchtime walks, and regular social events alongside our HIN Academy providing fantastic training.

Main duties of the job

  • Support colleagues with providing capacity and high-quality administrative support.
  • Be responsible for all administrative elements to meet funding requirements
  • Provide project support and project coordination to the operational running of DigitalHealth.London Accelerator and the Horizon Digital Pioneer Fellowship.
  • Support in the coordination of workshops for participating companies.
  • Ensure all members of the programme follow all relevant policies and procedures
  • Grow your skills in a fast-paced team delivering the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator in London and across the UK.
  • You'll be involved in supporting multiple projects throughout the year

What does the ideal candidate look like?

You have a high level of administrative skills and experience.

  • You're highly organised, a fast learner and energetic. You're proactive and enjoy getting involved in the day to day running of an exciting programme.
  • You've had experience supporting large-scale projects before, with multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • You're interested in the opportunities to improve healthcare delivery using technology.

  • The Accelerator is a part of DigitalHealth.London, a programme aiming to speed up the development and scaling of digital innovations across health and care. The Accelerator works with 20-30 high potential start-ups and SMEs each year and supports them to develop and deploy solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing the NHS. The DigitalHealth.London Accelerator is a collaborative programme funded by London's three Academic Health Science Networks - UCLPartners, Imperial College Health Partners, and the Health Innovation Network, MedCity, CW+ (Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Charity) and receives match funding from the European Regional Development Fund - please see below.
  • The Accelerator team are hosted by the Health Innovation Network (HIN) - the AHSN for South London. The Accelerator team has an office base at the HIN in Borough Market and the majority of team members are employed by the HIN. The HIN is hosted by Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The HIN is a membership organisation and drives lasting improvements in patient and population health outcomes through the spread and adoption of innovation into practice and capitalising on teaching and research strengths throughout the health system in South London and wider afield.
