The Clinical Research Nurse/Practitioner will be a member of the South London CRN Agile Workforce team and will be responsible for delivering an agreed portfolio of clinical trials. The post-holder will also assess, plan, implement, and evaluate CRN support delivered to portfolio study teams and primary care sites that have been or have the potential to be recruited onto a clinical trial programme, as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will facilitate and aid in the recruitment of patients to ensure high quality clinical studies and trials which will require them to work flexibly across the disciplines to ensure the successful working of the clinical research projects they are assigned to. They will also act as a patient advocate providing support and assistance as required and assist in the co-ordination and management of a portfolio of clinical research studies.
Applicants must have considerable experience of working independently and have excellent organizational and time management skills.

The NIHR Clinical Research Network is the clinical research delivery arm of the NHS in England. It is led by a national Coordinating Centre and operates through 15 Local Clinical Research Networks (CRNs). These local Networks drive clinical research delivery performance across the locality and champion the role of clinical research in the NHS at every level. CRN: South London is hosted by Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and is comprised of six clinical delivery divisions with comparable organisational structures, aligned to the national specialty groupings.
The post holder will be involved in ensuring that any research undertaken within the department safeguards the wellbeing of the patients and is conducted according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trial) Regulations 2004, Research Governance Framework and Amended Regulations 2006.
