Job summary

Vehicle and equipment support desk administrator - 12 months fixed term / 12 months secondment

Reporting to the Vehicle & Equipment Unit Manager the purpose of this role is to act as the administrative assistant to the Vehicle and Equipment Team, liaising with internal and external managers, organisations and agencies as appropriate.

The post holder will develop and maintain a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service, including typing, minute taking, filing, photocopying, arranging and recording appointments and meetings and facilitating work required to resources in accordance with relevant schedules.

Main duties of the job

1. To liaise with the operational teams with regard to repairs and maintenance of vehicles and the operational day to day running of vehicles and equipment both leased and owned, including the use of external contractors where appropriate.2. Liaise with the NEPTS Operational Teams and all Trust workshops,contractors, suppliers and stations to ensure best use of resource.3. To assist in the planning and implementation of all maintenance and repairs of all NEPTS vehicles, as specified by South Central Ambulance Service.4. To support the directorate in ensuring that all resources are compliant to the standards required by SCAS and other bodies such as Department ofTransport.5. To comply with all relevant Trust policies and procedures.6. To maintain the upkeep of records relating to the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment using all computerised systems ensuring inspection reports and job cards are completed accurately and closed promptly.7. To provide all departments, where necessary, with information with regard to the status of vehicle operations and equipment.8. To attend training courses as and when required.9. To participate in the Trust's annual Individual Performance Review andDevelopment process10. Foster a positive relationship with internal and external stakeholders to enhance performance.11.
