Job summary
South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dedicated and highly motivated individual to join the IM&T Critical Systems team for a 12 month secondment to support the Global Rostering System (GRS) in the role of Critical Systems Support Officer (GRS), working with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that the GRS system is correctly and effectively configured and performs within required parameters.
Main duties of the job
The applicant would positively benefit from holding prior experience of the GRS system, be able to manage internal and external stakeholder requirements on the system, develop change control notices, track and manage changes, acting as the system configuration administrator.
The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a range of internal stakeholders (e.g. Workforce Planning, ICT technicians and managers, Business Intelligence), and external stakeholders such as Total Mobile - GRS, and other stakeholders.

The role will require the applicant to be flexible with time management and working location in order to meet the demands of a busy emergency and urgent care service provider. The successful candidate may be expected to regularly travel to different Trust locations to attend meetings as required, to participate in service review meetings, initiate and implement in-house system changes, whilst tracking and where necessary challenging the supplier, to ensure continuity of service.

- Ability to utilise to basic / intermediate standards- the regular Microsoft Office applications to include: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio.
- 999 / 111 Clinical systems user / administrator experience
Desirable
- Recognised qualification in IT Critical Systems methods and techniques
- Demonstrable experience in Project management principles (PRINCE II, Agile etc)
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Experience in working in and leading teams
- Experience in planning, resolving and investigating complex problems
- Experience in report writing, and presenting complex information to management and peers
- Experience of presenting data via reports, manipulating data into a manageable format, data comparison, data analysis and statistical data presenting in a format relevant to the intended audience
