Job summary

An integral part of the Care Group/Corporate senior leadership team, People and Change partners provide both operational and strategic people focus and direction within Care Group/Corporate services. The work of the PCP is grounded in the principles of improving patient care, driving service development, living our values and developing the Trust as the best place to work in the NHS.

You will proactively work with the leadership team to support the forward planning, modernisation, engagement and performance of the workforce - embedding good people practice and championing the people agenda.You will influence and drive business objectives and workforce related plans and deliver against the People Strategy and Care Group/Corporate people priorities.This is an exciting role offering huge opportunity to develop and shape the people agenda and be a part of the wider HR/OD senior management team.

Main duties of the job

Workforce development and implementation

Clearly understand the strategic priorities of the Trust and help translate these into effective people management & OD strategies within care group and corporate services.

Have a sound understanding of the business of the care group providing expert support to help achieve objectives and solve complex issues.

Provide expert advice on national developments in workforce, including employment law, benchmarking and innovation.

Lead on development activities to enhance culture and leadership within the care group, (supported by W&OD teams).

Lead on the promotion of the Trusts equality, diversity and inclusion agenda within the care group using available data to develop targeted plans to address inequality.

Act as a people champion demonstrating role model behaviour by adding value and advocating people management within the care group.
