Band 7 Ward Manager (Adelaide Ward - Oncology / Haematology)

We have a full-time Band 7 Ward Manager position available.

An excellent opportunity to lead a specialist oncology and haematology ward.

Applicants would need to provide evidence of the following essential criteria:

oSignificant acute medical nursing experience.

oDynamic, motivated and enthusiastic with a very high standard of clinical practice.

oFirst degree level qualification.

oExcellent leadership and communication skills, People and Change management.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder works as an expert practitioner and is responsible for the delivery of patient-focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and well-being needs of the client group in their clinical area.
  • Ability to manage patient flow and work closely with other teams.
  • The post holder displays excellent communication and leadership skills, and is responsible for the day-to-day line management of their team.
  • Responsible for promoting high standards of care and cleanliness in the clinical area and for a well-maintained Ward environment.
  • The Ward Manager is a budget holder and authorised signatory for financial and physical resources.
