Band 7 Ward Manager (Adelaide Ward - Oncology / Haematology)

We have a full-time Band 7 Ward Manager position available.

An excellent opportunity to lead a specialist oncology and haematology ward.

Applicants would need to provide evidence of the following essential criteria:

oSignificant acute medical nursing experience.

oDynamic, motivated and enthusiastic with a very high standard of clinical practice.

oFirst degree level qualification.

oExcellent leadership and communication skills, People and Change management.

Main duties of the job

The post holder works as an expert practitioner and is responsible for the delivery of patient-focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and well-being needs of the client group in their clinical area.
Ability to manage patient flow and work closely with other teams.
The post holder displays excellent communication and leadership skills, and is responsible for the day-to-day line management of their team.
Responsible for promoting high standards of care and cleanliness in the clinical area and for a well-maintained Ward environment.
The Ward Manager is a budget holder and authorised signatory for financial and physical resources.
