Band 6 Experienced Rotational Physiotherapist - MSK & Orthopaedics

We are excited to welcome an experienced and enthusiastic physiotherapist to complete 6-month rotations between inpatient orthopaedics and MSK Outpatients.

The successful applicant will work onsite at the Royal Berkshire Hospital covering the following rotations: upper limb MSK outpatients, lower limb MSK outpatients, hand therapy outpatients, inpatient orthopaedics (covering trauma and elective surgery).

Main duties of the job

  • To be an experienced Physiotherapist delivering patient centred, caring therapy for Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust Hospital (RBFT).
  • To be professionally responsible for all aspects of your own work including the therapeutic management of patients in your care, with support from your supervisor.
  • To use your physiotherapy knowledge and skills to provide specialist support and advice to the multi-disciplinary team and to manage own caseload of patients as an autonomous practitioner
  • To deliver a high quality, effective and efficient physiotherapy service in the Therapy team.
  • To be a member of the Therapy Department team, contributing to service development in Therapies and the Trust.

Essential

  • NHS experience across all core clinical areas
  • Experience of working within orthopaedics
  • Experience of working in MSK
  • Previous experience in assessing and treating hand/wrist patients
  • Understanding of current evidence base

Desirable

  • Experience of working in MSK for 2 years
  • Experience of working in Orthopaedics for 1 year

Education

Essential

  • HCPC Registered
  • Degree or other recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
