Job summary
The post holder will be responsible forthe delivery of high-quality Occupational Health services through effective clinical governance and case management expertise.
They will work closely with the Associate Director Occupational Health and Wellbeing in the deliver high quality Occupational Health services to the Trust.
They will lead on the clinical governance function of the Occupational Health department with an initial key focus on coordination of work towards achieving SEQOHS accreditation within 12 months of being in post.
The post holder will act a key point of contact for Occupational Health related matters working with colleagues from across the Trust as required.
They will also support the other members of the Occupational Health team acting as a source of expert knowledge where advice / support is required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will
Provide leadership and support to the OH team
Lead on clinical governance in the OH department including collating evidence required for SEQOHS accreditation and establishing a sustainable process for maintaining accreditation.
Manage their own case load of referrals
Ensure OH policies and procedures are reviewed and updated regularly
Line manage the Nurse advisor and administration teams
Provide cover for the OH department in the absence of the Associate Director Occupational Health and Wellbeing

- Registered Nurse on Part III of the NMC Register as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health)
- Management/Leadership qualification or equivalent experience at a senior level
Desirable
- Educated to Masters Level or equivalent experience that equates to a masters level qualification
- Audit qualification
Experience
Essential
- Significant / At least 5 years post registration occupational health nursing experience
- Significant / At least 3 years experience of leadership experience
- Significant audit experience
- Significant clinical governance / improvement experience
- Excellent understanding of SEQOHS accreditation standards/requirements
- Experience in managing Occupational Health IT systems
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
