Data Support Worker - Cardiology
Band 3 post working 22.5hrs per week across 3 days.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the leading Cardiology Departments in the UK
The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust has been rated as one of the best performers in their Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised individual to support the data input for MINAP (Myocardial Ischaemia National Audit Project), Heart Failure and PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) national audit projects run by NICOR (National Institute for Cardiovascular Outcomes Research).
Main duties of the job
The Data Support worker role is paramount in providing accurate data inputting, running reports and liaising with all members of the Cardiology team as well as Senior Management within Acute Medicine.
As a Data Support worker you will need to be confident working with large volumes of data with accuracy and precision, have excellent IT skills and able to work to tight deadlines. You will also need to be flexible to support the Projects Nurse with general administration duties.
To be successful in this role excellent communication is required as you will be working with colleagues at all levels along with those outside the organisation including the local ambulance service, General Practitioners, other hospital Trusts, NICOR database provider and the local Coroners Officers.
This post requires previous experience of delivering high levels of customer/patient service, working within an administrative environment, using multiple computer systems and managing data (electronic and paper based).
Full compliance with local procedures, deadlines and best practice will be a key part of the role.
