Job summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Paediatric and Neonatal Matron to join our team and lead the delivery of exceptional care for children, young people, and neonates.
This senior nursing role will oversee clinical excellence, patient safety, and staff wellbeing within our paediatric and neonatal services.
Main duties of the job
Provide strategic and operational leadership for paediatric and neonatal nursing services.
Ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, and experience.
Act as a professional role model, mentoring and supporting nursing staff.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, patient-centred care.
Manage workforce planning, recruitment, and staff development.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced nurse leader with:
Current NMC registration (Registered Nurse - Child Branch).
Substantial post-registration experience in paediatrics and neonatology, including leadership and operational roles.
Strong knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, and service improvement.
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
A passion for delivering outstanding care to children, young people, and their families.
