To assist the Directorate Manager and Care Group Management team in ensuring the smooth and effective running of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
To work with, and in support of, the Lead Matrons for all aspects of service delivery including meeting access standards, waiting list management and delivery of the service's activity plan.
To lead on the delivery of RTT and Cancer Performance for the service, ensuring that the access policy is followed.
To be responsible for weekly reporting on RTT and Cancer Performance, supporting the Directorate Manager and Patient Pathway Manager in capacity planning to ensure sustained achievement of the standards.
To act as Lead Manager with the Patient Pathway Manager for scheduling and provide primary budget management for pay and non-pay within the services.
Main duties of the job
To provide operational leadership for the services in partnership with the Directorate team to ensure effective provision of high quality, safe clinical services for service users against agreed outcome measures, service level agreements, activity and financial targets.
In partnership with Directorate team review and improve services taking into account local and national guidance.
To ensure that the departmental leads manages overall expenditure within the delegated budget and contribute towards the financial management of the services ensuring any opportunities for increased efficiency are achieved .
To lead on demand and capacity profiling across the services, ensuring workplace plans reflect the demand profile and appropriate delivery of required activity.
