Band 6 - Senior Sexual Health Nurse/Midwife
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 6 senior sexual health nurse or midwife to join the team at Florey clinic.The Florey provides an integrated contraceptive and sexual health service in Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire. The service is fast paced and this is a fantastic opportunity to develop within a supportive and friendly environment. The post holder will require experience within the speciality and will be expected to provide excellent and compassionate care to patients requiring both contraceptive and sexual health care. We are looking for a dynamic, innovative individual with excellent communication skills who is passionate about providing excellent, non-judgemental care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing planned nursing care, and for the maintenance of associated records for patients in the given clinical area.
The post holder works as an effective team member, assisting in the management and the organisation of work as required. The post holder displays effective communication skills and works as a role model for good practice, supporting and developing students and more junior colleagues as required.

- Accredited course in GU medicine or completion of internal development documentation
- Completed FSRH diploma or accredited university equivalent

- Experience in mentoring, facilitation, teaching, assessing, coaching
- Experience of leadership activities
