The "Foundation Year 3" posts consist in Castle ward, which has Diabetes & Endocrinology, Rheumatology and general Medicine Patients. This post predominantly involve daytime ward based work with some weekend daytime working.

Duration of posts can be varied between to accommodate travel or other commitments.

Post holders are entitled to study leave and can attend trust teaching appropriate to their grade (co-ordinated a department ensuring adequate ward staffing cover). We are in the process of creating a dedicated monthly teaching programme for the Foundation Year 3 cohort.

We are determined to support successful applicants with career progression and actively encourage and support involvement in Quality Improvement, learning and exam/interview preparation. The Foundation Year 3 Doctors now have a dedicated Clinical Tutor to ensure there is an educational aspect to the posts.

  • Previous experience of working in the NHS as a doctor.
