Job summary

Internal Only

To provide administrative and planning support to the Breast Screening department including planning operations related to locating mobile units within West Berkshire.

Main duties of the job

Assists the Breast Screening Administrative Services Manager to ensure the operation of an efficient and effective administration service that meets the needs of the Breast Screening Service; will include monitoring performance against set targets

Responsible for maintaining paper based and electronic filing systems within the department, and for managing and maintaining departmental databases

Ensures appropriate and timely prioritisation, delegation and completion of workload duties within the administrative team

Essential

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics , grades A-C
  • Evidence of a good level of computer literacy

Experience

  • Proven evidence of recent administration experience, ideally to include scheduling of appointments etc
  • Experience working with the general public in a client facing role

Desirable

  • Experience of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Experience working within a hospital or other healthcare setting
