Lead Pharmacist for ICU and Theatres

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust for a motivated and experienced Pharmacist to join our progressive Clinical Pharmacy Team as a Lead pharmacist for ICU and Theatres

In addition to excellent communication and leadership skills you will be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, and have previous experience of working within a clinical environment and will have completed a post-graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy. Evidence of multi-disciplinary teamwork and clinical pharmacy experience within the critical care areas where patients have one or more system failures is beneficial as is experience of financial analysis, commissioning and risk management.

Training and support will be given and a commitment to continuing professional development is essential.

Main duties of the job

To lead on the delivery of the Trust's Medicines Optimisation agenda to the patients admitted under the care of Intensive Care (ICU) and Surgical Theatres within the Trust.

To manage pharmacy staff working at a ward level within the designated areas including ICU & Theatres.
