Lead Nurse Pain Unit
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bad 8a Lead Nurse to join our Pain Unit team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder works as an expert practitioner and is responsible for the strategic direction of patient-focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and well-being needs of the client group in the Pain Unit and in the wider community.
To ensure that Pain Unit processes are patient focussed, effective and efficient.
To ensure flexible delivery of a quality service for all pain patients.
Work with the lead clinicians, care group managers and directors, to set and deliver the strategic vision of the services.
Implement policy to support the development of the service
The post-holder displays excellent communication and leadership skills, and is responsible for the day-to-day line management of the senior team for which he/she is responsible.
The Lead Nurse is a budget holder and authorised signatory for financial resources.
