Critical Care Outreach Nurse

The Critical Care Outreach team are delighted to be in a position to offer the opportunity for a nurse with critical care experience at band 6 or 7 to join the team on a 6 month secondment starting in November 2024.

We are looking for applicants who have an interest in working across the trust with the multi-disciplinary teams to give the best care to acutely ill and deteriorating patients.

As a team we value considerate team working, excellent interpersonal skills and strong collaborative approaches.

The applicant will have experience in critical care nursing, but will also be seeking opportunities to expand their abilities in team working, leadership and delivery of excellent patient care.

Main duties of the job

The post holder works alongside the CNS/ANP for Outreach to deliver patient -focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and wellbeing needs of acutely ill, deteriorating and critically ill patients in the Trust.

The post holder displays excellent communication and leadership skills, working with the CNS/ANP to provide the best care within given resources and the best use of the patient's environment. The post holder will support other practitioners delivering care.

  • ENB 998/ Slice, C&G 730 or equivalent
  • Health related degree or working towards, or able to demonstrate evidence of working at that level
  • Critical care qualification or equivalent.

  • NVQ Assessor

  • Post -qualification experience in a critical care area
