Senior Lead Pharmacist - Clinical Services (Medicines Safety)
To support the Trust in the delivery of its strategy and vision, an exciting role for a Senior Lead Pharmacist for Clinical Services (Medicines Safety) has been developed.
Working closely with the Associate Chief Pharmacist for clinical services, the post holder will lead the department in the delivery of a high quality clinical service whilst promoting staff development and well-being at work.
The post holder willlead on all aspects of the medication safety agenda for the Trust, with the support of the Pharmacy Management Team and Medicines Safety Officer.
In addition to excellent communication and leadership skills you will be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, and have previous experience of working as a Lead pharmacist within a clinical environment. Evidence of multi-disciplinary teamwork and project management is essential as is experience of financial analysis, commissioning and risk management. For further details / informal visits contact:

Main duties of the job
To lead on all aspects of the medication safety agenda for the Trust, with the support of the Pharmacy Management Team and Medicines Safety Officer.
To support and deputise for the Associate Chief Pharmacist for Clinical Services in the management of the pharmacy services with a particular focus on Medicines, Women and Children specialty
To assist the Associate Chief Pharmacist and Clinical Services Lead in providing professional and strategic leadership and advice to the Chief Pharmacist, and the Trust, on the pharmacy clinical services.
To manage a range of pharmacy staff and resources within the department that are relevant to his or her role in order to ensure the department achieve long-term financial sustainability as outlined in the Trust strategy.
As a member of the Senior Pharmacist Leadership Team (SPLT) to work closely with all members of SPLT including the Chief Pharmacist in delivering the Pharmacy Strategy and to help ensure the service is aligned with the requirements of the Trust.
