Job summary

Band 6 - Headaches and Dystonia Injection Clinical Nurse Specialist

This is a new and exciting opportunity to join our expanding headache and dystonia injection clinical nurse specialist team.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will:

  • Assess, plan and implement care for headache patients with the guidance of the headache doctor and CNS.
  • Administration of BOTOX for migraines, and the safe advice to patients.
  • Develop their skill in the use of EMG for dystonia
  • Develop expertise in greater and lesser occipital nerve blocks for headache patients.
  • Assist in the teaching and safe administration of certain medications for migraine e.g. teaching patients to self-inject Fremanezumab.
  • Follow up the patients for ongoing advice and support.
