Job summary

Band 6 - Headaches and Dystonia Injection Clinical Nurse Specialist

This is a new and exciting opportunity to join our expanding headache and dystonia injection clinical nurse specialist team.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will:

Assess, plan and implement care for headache patients with the guidance of the headache doctor and CNS.
Administration of BOTOX for migraines, and the safe advice to patients.
Develop their skill in the use of EMG for dystonia
Develop expertise in greater and lesser occipital nerve blocks for headache patients.
Assist in the teaching and safe administration of certain medications for migraine e.g. teaching patients to self-inject Fremanezumab.
Follow up the patients for ongoing advice and support.
