Band 6 Advanced Theatre Practitioner - Ophthalmology (Anaesthetics / Recovery)

PLEASE NOTE: This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St. Leonards Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP - and attracts a High Cost Area Supplement (HCAS) of 5% of gross basic salary.

We are looking for a highly motivated Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner with experience in Ophthalmology Surgical Procedures.

You will have proven clinical leadership skills to work within our busy operating theatre department.

Motivated and enthusiastic about your own professional development and keen to enhance your skills and competencies within the team.

As a professional role model, you will provide a high standard of evidence based clinical leadership and practice development to support our team of professionals.

You will be expected to work closely with the surgical team, assisting in implementing practice change where required.

Main duties of the job

Working as part of a MDT providing ophthalmology surgical procedures.

Assisting both anaesthetist and surgeon in the preparation of patients.
