Job summary

Nurse Consultant Dermatology - Band 8b

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and registered nursing colleague with experience in dermatology and skin cancer to join our integrated, consultant led dermatology team.

We have a strong track record over two decades of working with alongside all Allied Health Professionals and would love to welcome another like-minded colleague to the team.

The successful candidates would have on-the-job clinical training. We feel that previous dermatology experience is essential, alongside a desire to learn and hone one's dermatology skills, and be part of a lively team and provide dermatology services to the local population.

Due to our advanced EPR and letter dictation programmes, administration burden is minimal but admin time will be allocated to support each clinic worked as part of the job plan.

We run a large number of specialist dermatology clinics (including vulval, paediatric, male genital, HIV, biologic clinics). There would be opportunities to attend these clinics as part of your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) if requested.

Attendance at skin cancer MDT meetings weekly is essential. These meetings run every Thursday morning, 8.30-9.30am. These can be joined virtually upon request.

We would encourage successful candidates to join the British Association of Dermatology and the British Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG) for dermatology CPD every year.
