Senior Configuration Developer

Job summary

As a Configuration Developer in Cerner Millenium, you will be responsible for ensuring the system is configured to meet our digital strategy ensuring that 'best practice' ways of working are facilitated. Bringing with you experience of developing Cerner products, you will be key to implementing system changes that not only meet the requirements of the digital strategy and operational targets but also keep the Trust working on projects that meet its aspiration of achieving HIMSS level 7.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have extensive experience developing Cerner Millenium applications a good understanding of workflows and processes within an NHS hospital and ideally experience on working on multidisciplinary projects. Working closely with the Change Management Team, you will be responsible for actioning change requests submitted by the trust. As part of project teams be able to make recommendations and configure applications to deliver project changes liaising with the Integration Architect, for guidance. You will also troubleshoot problems and address questions from colleagues regarding the applications offering advice and guidance on best practice.

The Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust has a well-established Oracle Cerner Health electronic patient record. In recent years we have worked hard to implement model content in partnership with Oracle Cerner but modified by our in-house EPR development team. This facilitates quicker access to patient records, to improved availability of documentation, and a patient portal, the system is significantly improving patient outcomes, safety and experience.

This is an exciting time to join the Configuration Development team and progress in your existing skill set of Cerner knowledge and project delivery.

Post-pandemic our team will continue to work flexibly with a combination of remote and office based working days.
