Job summary
Applications are welcomed for a new colleague in our Radiology department. The successful candidate will contribute to the provision of our highly regarded Interventional Radiology Service, as well as being an important member of our wider radiology team.
Main duties of the job
- Support IR in patient and outpatient services
- Support diagnostic radiology workload, including cardiac CT and acute imaging
- IR on-call (1:7)

Education and Qualification
Essential
- Full registration with the GMC/eligible for registration Within 6 months of CCST in (Speciality) at interview date
- FRCR (UK) or equivalent
Desirable
- Higher degree e.g. PhD/ MD submitted/awarded
- Professional qualification in medical law and ethics.
Clinical Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Essential
- Extensive experience working within Diagnostic Radiology.
- Previous responsibility for clinical governance and GMC Good Medical Practice
- Extensive experience working within Interventional Radiology
Desirable
- Interest in trauma imaging and trauma embolization.
- Able to independently perform hepatic and renal microwave ablation.
- Able to independently perform Trans-Arterial-Chemo-Embolisation.
