**Placement Opportunity: RETURN TO PRACTICE THERAPEUTIC RADIOGRAPHER**

Are you a qualified Therapeutic Radiographer who has had a break from the profession for longer than 2 years but are looking to 'Return to Practice'?

If yes, this is a fantastic opportunity to start your Return to Practice journey with a placement at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

As a key provider of Radiotherapy services in the South East region, our Trust will ensure that returning to your career is as simple as possible, with a range of flexible clinical rotations available within friendly and supportive teams, and access to a variety of learning experiences.

The additional support from Practice Supervisors and in service training will fully enable you to 'Return to Practice' with all the contemporary skills, knowledge and competence required in the present healthcare climate. There is also a possibility that practice hours can be aligned to suitable vacancies within the organisation, should opportunities become available (subject to service needs and individual requirements).

Main duties of the job

Eligibility criteria:

The NHSE RTP programme is open to and will support:

  • All former HCPC registrants who live in England and plan to return to work in England once returned to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) register.
  • Those who have gained a UK HCPC approved programme more than 5 years ago and have never been registered and never practised.
  • Registrants who remained on the HCPC register for more than two years but have not practised and consider themselves to be out of practice.
  • Overseas qualified clinicians eligible for HCPC registration residing in England including those with refugee status and 'right to reside'. If trained overseas and never formally registered with the HCPC please follow the link to the HCPC website and follow the International registration process. You will need to gain HCPC registration or be required to undertake to take a period of adaptation before being supported by the programme.
  • Applications from anyone with conditions of practice will be reviewed on an individual basis.

  • You will be employed on an unpaid honorary contract for a designated period.
  • Contracted hours will be agreed on an individual basis according to service needs and re-registration requirements.
  • Both flexible full-time and part-time return to practice opportunities are available.
  • The post holder will require effective communication skills, and demonstrate full collaborative working as part of a multidisciplinary team, in addition to good individual time management.
  • You will need to register with NHS England on their Return to Practice Programme (RtP) before commencing a placement with the Trust. This can be achieved by completing theHEE returnee information form. NHS England will provide funding for out-of-pocket expenses and any relevant course that allows you to update your skills and knowledge.
