Band 5 Theatre Scrub Practitioner (Ophthalmology Day Case Unit - PCEU Windsor)

PLEASE NOTE: This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonards Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP - and attracts a High Cost Area Supplement (HCAS) of 5% of gross basic salary.

We also offer a relocation allowance of up to £1,600 for eligible candidates.

We are operational 8am-6pm Monday to Friday (no weekend or late evening shifts!!)

Following a restructure of Eye Surgical Services at Prince Charles Eye Unit in Windsor, we have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic, highly motivated and ambitious staff to join our dynamic Eye Theatres Unit Team.

This post would provide opportunities for a nurse /ODP to develop both professionally and personally through local training and external professional courses, and who strive to deliver a positive experience for both patients and staff.

Our two eye theatres are part of the Eye Day Case Unit, providing surgical procedures for cataracts, glaucoma, vitreoretinal, oculoplastic and medical retina.

We offer a friendly and supportive learning environment with developmental opportunities, innovative and dynamic team.

Applications are welcome from either NMC registered nurses or HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioners (ODP).

Main duties of the job

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Theatre Practitioners who aspire to learn and develop to join our inspirational team. Whether you have specific specialty experience or not, full support and training will be provided.

Successful candidates will demonstrate high standards of practice with excellent communication, clinical and decision making skills. You will need to demonstrate the ability to translate the trust's vision of high quality care and excellent patient experience into action.
