Band 3 Senior Healthcare Assistant (Ophthalmology Outpatients) - PCEU Windsor

PLEASE NOTE: This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonards Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP - and attracts a High Cost Area Supplement (HCAS) supplement of 5% of gross basic salary.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Prince Charles Eye Unit in Windsor.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have completed their Band 2 competencies and are working towards their Band 3 competencies.

You will assist colleagues from Doctors to Nurses to reception staff in delivering a safe and efficient service.

You will also need to obtain clinical skills to work in various areas of the department.

Main duties of the job

To assist in a very busy outpatients department.

To develop skills within an Ophthalmic setting whilst assisting various MDT's to deliver a safe and comfortable journey for all our patients whilst in our care.

To work within our busy A&E service, to assist within the pre-op process and be deemed competent in assisting within our AMD injection service, alongside a team of nurses and doctors.

Assisting a variety of patients with their individual needs.
