Clinical Engineering Internship (Fixed Term 12 Months)
As part of the partnership between Royal Berkshire NHSFT and University of Reading, we are seeking applications from 3rd year students on the Biomedical Engineering degree programme to join the Clinical Engineering Department for 12 months.
The position will give you an opportunity to learn and develop skills relevant to a career in Clinical Engineer such as:
- Asset management.
- Routine maintenance and repairs.
- Acceptance testing, commissioning & decommissioning.
Normal NHS terms and conditions apply, including 27 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
The deadline for applications is Sunday 29th May 2022.
Interviews are due to take place on Friday 10th June 2022.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will learn how support activities are organised and carried out, including:
- Asset management systems.
- Device utilisation optimisation.
- Scheduling of work.
- Production of specifications for medical devices, routine maintenance and repairs.
- Development of key performance indicators, applicable regulations governance and reporting arrangements for medical devices, and research and development of medical devices.
