Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Audio Typist to join the Vascular Department at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. There are 14 consultants and 4 nurses within this time This role is pivotal in enabling the Directorate to provide a high-quality, comprehensive and professional administrative service to patients, relatives, carers and other internal and external stakeholders.
Vascular Service is based at the Northern General Hospital and is the service provider for South Yorkshire.
Main duties of the job
The main duty of this role is accurately typing patient letters relating to clinic appointments, test results, referrals, discharge summaries from digital audio dictation, long hand, or verbal dictation. Aiming towards turning typing around in 48 hours. Use of Microsoft work programmes and hospital systems.
