Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Band 7 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Burns and Plastics team, providing expert care to Burns patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to work within a specialist burns unit, delivering high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy to adults recovering from burn injuries.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, you will:
Lead the physiotherapy management of patients with complex burn injuries, scarring, and associated complications.
Provide expert rehabilitation across acute, sub-acute, and long-term phases of burn care.
Support patients through their inpatient stay and follow them through their outpatient rehabilitation journey.
Manage respiratory care needs in burn patients on the ward.
Assess, fabricate and manage splinting and positioning regimens.
Work alongside the Clinical Specialist OT as part of a well-established Burns MDT.
Be involved in Regional and National Burns networks.
We're seeking a compassionate, driven clinician with:
Substantial post-registration experience, including relevant practice in burns care or a related field.
Proven skills in rehabilitation, respiratory physiotherapy, and splinting.
Experience working across the full patient pathway - acute to community.
Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
