Job summary
Are you an experienced labour Ward Midwife with a passion to promote personalised maternity care, provide effective management and leadership? An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a shift co-ordinator on our busy labour ward, and become part of a supportive leadership team at Jessops.
You will work closely with the Maternity Matron and MDT Team and also provide clinical and managerial leadership.If you share our passion, drive and values in ensuring women and birthing people and their families receive quality and compassionate care, then we would like to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of Labour Ward acting as the key point of contact for staff, members of the multidisciplinary team and service users. Ensuring the 24hour provision of a high quality, effective midwifery service, providing leadership to staff and expert clinical midwifery advice.
- Manage midwifery and support staff and the clinical area to ensure the smooth running of the service.
- Work in partnership with women, and ensure the planning and implementation of individualised plans of care.
