Job summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated pharmacist to play a key part in the development of our new, fully integrated Connect Electronic Patient Record (EPR), enabling us to hold a single Trust-wide hospital record. The post-holder would also help us deliver advanced level pharmacy care to our Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI) and Neurorehabilitation Centre.
ePMA:
The post holder will join the established multidisciplinary team responsible for the maintenance and development of the electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA) functionality within the Connect EPR.

Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI) and Neurorehabilitation:
The Princess Royal SCI Centre is the second largest tertiary referral centre in the UK, and the regional centre of excellence. The Centre provides a lifelong service to its patients.
This well-established post involves working alongside and supporting our team of clinical pharmacists and medicines management technicians to provide a clinical service and to contribute to the multidisciplinary team.
As well as significant post-registration experience, you'll also need a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy alongside excellent clinical leadership, interpersonal and communications skills. Ideally, you'll also have Independent Prescriber status or be willing to undertake the course.
Main duties of the job
ePMA - To lead and be responsible for the planning, organisation, implementation and ongoing development of the EPMA system as a key component of the overall Electronic Patient Record (EPR) in line with legislation, national priorities and Trust objectives.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with clinicians, pharmacy staff and the wider digital team to implement system improvements and provide expert support to the trust.Your activities will include configuration, testing and development of the ePMA functionality.
Spinal Cord Injuries - To lead, deliver, develop and evaluate clinical pharmacy services in accordance with the objectives set by the Principal Pharmacist and the Spinal Cord Injuries and Neurorehabilitation service.
Contribute to the multidisciplinary team within ePMA and the Spinal Cord Injuries centre as a clinical practitioner, championing medicines optimisation.
To deliver relevant education, training, mentorship and clinical supervision.To supervise staff associated with EPMA in line with STH policy; including taking responsibility for the personal /professional development and day to day management of these staff.
To contribute to the pharmacy departmental services including evenings and weekends.
Support pharmacy service areas in the department, this may include dispensaries, technical and medicines information.
