Senior Midwife/Ward Leader

Job summary

We are seeking a motivated and strong leader to join our team as a Senior Midwife Ward Leader. The ideal candidate will be approachable and possess the drive to achieve the highest standards of clinical excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe care within the ward. This role involves supporting the Matron and working collaboratively as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to foster a positive, patient-centred environment. Main duties of the job

  • To be responsible for the management and clinical leadership of the midwifery services on the inpatient areas.
  • To be accountable for ensuring the highest standard of clinical care is provided in inpatient areas.
  • To be easily identifiable to patients, providing strong, visible leadership and have the appropriate level of authority to provide support, advice and assistance required by women and their families.
