Job summary
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals is seeking to appoint 2 Senior Clinical Fellow in General Medicine (IMT3/ST3+ equivalent) beginning August 2025:
Post 1: for a 12 month fixed term contract until August 2026.
Post 2: for a 8 month fixed term contract until April 2026
These posts do not attract a National Training Number. As these posts are not recognised as 'training posts', full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required by the date of application. If the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required.
The duties of these posts are equivalent to IMT3/ST3+ level. Successful completion of MRCP/MRCP Part 1 and experience at IMT3/equivalent is essential. Clinical experience in a substantive post in the NHS (excluding any periods of Clinical unpaid experience) is also essential. These posts are primarily being appointed to support ward cover on Vickers 4 & Huntsman 7 Wards, and additional winter wards. Any further vacancies that arise at this grade during this advert will be considered for recruitment.
Main duties of the job
The ST3-level clinical duties will include in-patient duties as part of a team managing patients admitted under general medicine consultants. This will include providing support to junior colleagues. There will be the opportunity to attend out-patient clinics in one of the . Depending on interest successful candidates may have the opportunity to be involved with specialist referrals.
