If so, Sheffield Teaching Hospital is looking for an Emergency Department Navigator to join our team at the Northern General Hospital and provide vital support for those young people and adults who attend ED or who are admitted to the hospital right through to their safe discharge back into the community and ensuring that they have access to appropriate longer-term support. Support to clients while they are in the hospital and also in the community post discharge.
Our successful candidate will identify and assess victims of violence, or those at risk of violence, and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.
This opportunity is 35 hours per week.
Must be a car driver with valid driving licence.
Main duties of the job

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis ending 31st March 2026 due to the post being externally funded. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the ongoing source of the external funding and the requirement for the post to be maintained.
Please also note any secondment must first be agreed with your current line manager.
