Job summary
Porters play a vital role in Radiology, taking patients and their notes to and from the department in order for patients to have their examinations or procedures. They also are responsible for the removal of waste from the department's disposal areas, adhering to the Trust's Waste Disposal Policy.
We are looking for suitable candidates to join our existing team of radiology porters.
The posts includes a commitment to work 12pm - 8pm Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the Radiology Portering team to assist the Portering Supervisor and Head of Portering in providing an efficient and high quality Portering service to all areas within the Radiology department.
To project a positive image of the department and Trust to patients, staff and visitors.
To communicate effectively with all staff to ensure that any problems are dealt with effectively.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 6 months due to the post being recruited as part of a limited term project within the Trust. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the requirement for the post to be maintained as a part of the project's implementation and the timescales associated with this.
