We are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic team players with proven admin skills for 1 x full time permanent role and 1 x full time 12 months fixed term role to cover maternity leave.
You need to be flexible and reliable to provide efficient and effective Admin duties supporting the Multi-disciplinary team in Integrated Geriatric & Stroke Medicine. In our Frailty Unit we are seeking a confident individual with excellent communication skills and a professional, tactful and diplomatic approach to work within this busy department.
This is a demanding but interesting and varied role. The successful candidate must possess the ability to work as part of a team and the initiative to work unsupervised when necessary. An understanding of confidentiality is essential as well as a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Previous hospital experience including knowledge of Lorenzo would be desirable. Good communication skills and excellent keyboard skills are also essential. Full training for this post will be provided.
We Operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so a flexible approach to a working shift pattern is required. Your shifts will often involve working day/ night shifts, weekends and bank holidays. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills. We are looking for someone who can work well under pressure, often using common sense and working off of their own initiative.
Main duties of the job
To support the Nursing and Medical teams on Frailty Unit in the provision of a comprehensive administration service.
Contributing to a rota providing 24 hour x 7 day cover per week.
Maintain the Patient Administration and provide admin support to the wards, nursing staff and managers.
