An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and
well organised individual to join our Clinic Support Team in the Neurology
Outpatients and Neurosurgery department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
The post holder willprovide exceptional reception and
clerical support in the busy Neurology Outpatient and Neurosurgery department.
The Department of Clinical Neurology at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield serves over 2 million peopleacross North Trent, including regions such as Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, and Chesterfield.
It offers comprehensive outpatient services through consultant-staffed clinics at regional centres and maintains two inpatient wards for acute care and extensive community outreach supported by nurse specialists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. Main duties of the job
To provide exceptional reception and clerical support in the busy Neurology Outpatient department.
This role is varied and includes;
- Face to face patient contact when working on reception
- Speaking to patients over the telephone
- Processing referrals
- Booking and rescheduling appointments
- Ensuring patients are put on the correct care pathway
- Preparing patient notes for clinics
- Managing various inboxes
- Working in a large administrative team and with clinical staff to ensure the best patient care and experience
