Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking, highly motivated nurse to apply for a post of Sister /Charge Nurse within the Integrated Geriatric and Stroke Medicine Directorate, specialising in the care of the elderly patients on ward Brearley 6.
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic clinical leader with a proventrack record of strong leadership, innovative practice, highly developed organizational ability and excellent interpersonal skills to help lead our teams to deliver the highest standard of quality care to our patients.
The successful candidate will be honest, reliable, highly motivated and passionate about the delivery of excellence to service users. Driven to make a difference, you will have a proven ability to manage change and be able to demonstrate the drive and passion required to motivate and engage staff. Working collaboratively with the MDT, the successful candidate will be expected to lead and support change across the care of the elderly services.
Applicants must have a first level registration along with an advanced diploma in nursing studies.
Main duties of the job
This role is to develop and provide specialised programmes of nursing care to a diverse range of patients and support to carers within the unit, to lead a team of qualified, support and student team members, to take charge of the ward regularly and to support the Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse in ensuring the highest standard and quality of nursing care is delivered.
