We're seeking a proactive and experienced individual to be part of our secretarial team. With your initiative, expertise, and forward-thinking approach, you'll maintain the highest standards of service, delivering positive outcomes for both patients and the Trust.
As the key point of contact for patients, consultants, and other service users, you'll play a central role in ensuring seamless communication and service delivery. Your responsibilities will also include managing waiting lists, patient target lists, and theatre schedules, as well as arranging theatre cancellations and adjustments in line with Trust policies. By balancing local and national targets with patient needs, you'll ensure smooth operations and excellent care standards.

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent Including English and Mathematics at grades C/4 or above
- RSA/OCR stage III (or equivalent) word processing or audio typing.
Desirable
- ECDL
- NVQ level 3
- AMSPAR diploma or equivalent diploma level qualification.
Experience

- Significant relevant medical secretarial experience.
- Experience in audio typing.
- Excellent keyboard skills, letter formatting & layout.
- Accuracy of spelling and grammar.
- Medical terminology.
- Previous experience of managing an inpatient waiting list.

- Experience of working with patient pathways and the 18 week referral to treatment target.
