Sheffield Teaching Hospitals is about to embark on the exciting expansion of its Mechanical Thrombectomy service. To support this growth, we are seeking passionate and dedicated medical professionals to join our team. This appointment is to commence on 1st April 2025 for a fixed term period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

Main duties of the job
The duties of this post are equivalent to Speciality Registrar ST3+ level.
Based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, the Clinical Neuroscience service caters to South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Lincolnshire, and North Nottinghamshire, serving over 2.2 million people. It encompasses Neurology, Neurosurgery, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and Neurophysiology.
As the Trust's first Academic Directorate, the unit emphasizes research, structured around seven themes: neurodegeneration, cerebrovascular (including stroke), neuroinflammation, epilepsy, neuro-oncology, neurophysiology, and industry/commercial research. These activities are led by research theme leaders and the Academic Director.
