Job summary
The post holder is responsible for secretarial and assistance to the Plastics Surgeons and managing elective waiting lists and theatres. Using their initiative, skills, knowledge and experience they will manage, prioritise, plan and organise their own time and the workload of their team, ensuring that agreed targets are achieved, whilst maintaining the highest standards to the mutual benefit of the patients and the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the organisation of their secretarial team including the allocation of tasks. Using their initiative, skills, knowledge and experience they will manage, prioritise, plan and organise their own time and the workload of their team, ensuring that agreed targets are achieved, whilst maintaining the highest standards to the mutual benefit of the patients and the Trust.
The post holder will be the main point of contact for patients, consultants and other service users ensuring full service is provided.
The post holder will be required to manage and maintain waiting lists, patient target lists and theatre lists. To arrange theatre cancellations and reductions in line with Trust policy, to meet local and national targets, and communicate to patient and other stakeholders.

- RSA/OCR stage III (or equivalent) word processing or audio typing.
