An exciting opportunity has arisen within Vascular Services for a professional Administration Coordinator to join our friendly and dynamic team. Helping to provide a high quality and efficient admin service to our clinical teams.
The role will involve providing designated inpatient and outpatient activity efficiently and effectively, in line with both national and local standards, and ensuring the workload is managed in a timely and accurate manner.

Main duties of the job
Input data into STHFT Information systems.
To manage all individual patient clinical pathways to ensure treatment is within 18 weeks from date to referral to treatment.
On receipt of abnormal results communicate to the relevant person for follow up and ensure action is taken.
Email, voicemail, post, telephone calls, messages and photocopying.
Frequently convey sensitive information to patient re: - tests, treatments and guidelines in situations of distress, unhappiness, where there may be difficulty with acceptance, in line with agreed guidance protocol.
Occasionally handle aggressive/distressed telephone callers.
Actively contribute to the smooth running and development of the Department by sharing, discussing, and implementing new ideas and ways of working with colleagues and Directorate staff.
Manage and maintain patients through their clinical pathway (chasing investigations in a timely way), ensuring accurate recording of the patients 18-week pathway status at every juncture on the hospital Patient Administration System (Lorenzo) system and update PTL (Patient Tracking List).
Ensure patients are booked in for any requested tests/added to waiting lists as requested within the patient administration and ensure patient 18 week pathway status is updated/correct, including any RTT errors identified by the assistant coordinators.
Comply with General Data Protection Regulations, Access to Health Records Act, Health and Safety procedures and Confidentiality.
