Job summary
We are looking to appoint a Less than full time Consultant in Renal Medicine (8PA) to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at Northern General Hospital.
We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers.
Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.

Main duties of the job
The appointee will, together with Consultant colleagues be responsible for the provision of in-patient and outpatient care of renal patients and provision for in-centre haemodialysis patients.
Main duties of the post will include:
a. 1:14 in-patient cover as consultant of the week
b. 1:14 on-call commitment
c. General nephrology clinics
d. Haemodialysis MDT
e. Haemodialysis out-patient clinic
Contribute to the audit programmes, Morbidity and Mortality and clinical governance programs.
Be aware of, and comply with, all Trust infection prevention and control policies, to include hand hygiene, personal hygiene, environmental and food hygiene.
