Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work within the Reception Team within our Facilities directorate, overseeing and supervisory of our receptionist's across our STH sites. The role is to provide support to our reception areas and functions. You will have strong organisational and communication skills and be prepared to work within a busy and challenging environment.
Our team works closely with other directorates across the organisation to support patient care, requiring a customer focused approach and ability to display our PROUD values and behaviours
You will be accountable to the Facilities Team Manager with the post based across both the Northern General and Royal Hallamshire Hospital sites, primarily on a rota's basis.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to maintain and produce accurate information on our reception and governance information systems so a good level of IT skills are required.
You will be required to undertake supervisory management duties including deployment of tasks, first line management of staff. and audits of areas.
The role includes the undertaking of bespoke project work and conducting environment audits across the Trust sites, addressing any issues which arise.
The effective use of highly developed communications skills, demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality and the ability to deal with conflict are key to being successful in this role. You will need to demonstrate diplomacy and effective influencing skills.
Have the ability to be flexible and provide team working and support to colleagues is essential for this role.
Support and Complete the accommodation allocation process for medical and non-medical staff with allocations and bookings for our on call and accommodation services provided by the team.
Complete supervisory management duties across all functional area of reception desks, including; staff appraisals, approving annual and special leave requests, welfare support, return to work interviews following staff absences and mandatory / job specific training is completed
