Job summary

We are looking to appoint to a temporary part time GP clinical assistant post at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. There are sessions available across the week to support the service in delivery of outpatient clinics. Specifically there are four sessions available support urgent and suspected cancer clinics running on Wednesdays 9.00-12.30 and 13.00-17.00, 2 sessions in the morning and a further 2.28 session in in the afternoon. Other sessions are available, by mutual agreement, to support routine dermatology clinics throughout the week.

These sessions are available immediately and for a 12-month period. Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and Entry on the GP Specialist Register (or equivalent) is essential. Should the appointee not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required.

Main duties of the job

The appointee will work within the dermatology department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. The duties of the post will be contributing to the Dermatology department's outpatient clinic activity. Routine outpaitnet clinic sessions are available throughout the week by mutual agreement and Urgent and Suspect Cancer sessions are available on Wednesday morning and afternoons. All clinic activity will be under consultant supervision.
