An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist MSK Physiotherapist (Band 6) to join us in PhysioWorks.
PhysioWorks is a community based Musculoskeletal Service consisting of approximately 60 staff.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Specialist MSK Physiotherapist able to work alone at times and manage their own caseload. Experience and expertise in the assessment and treatment of MSK conditions is essential. You should have excellent communication skills, be able to maintain judgement under pressure and demonstrate a flexible and mature attitude. You will have some experience of supervising more junior staff and a good understanding of clinical governance and relevant STH policy.
Full time hours preferred for the permanent post but we will consider applications for part time hours with a minimum of 22.5hrs. Experience of working in Musculoskeletal Outpatients receiving referrals from GPs in the UK Healthcare system is desirable.
Main duties of the job
- To assess, diagnose, plan and develop specialised physiotherapy treatment programmes for patients/clients with a wide variety of physical/mental health needs in a community setting.
- To supervise/train and assess competence of physiotherapists/assistants/students working within the service.
- As a member within PhysioWorks team, contribute to the development of, and adhere to, the strategies, policies and objectives of STH and PhysioWorks.

- Current HCPC registration.

- Relevant validated courses to Masters level or equivalent knowledge / experience
- Training from Higher Education Institution for graduate physiotherapy student supervision.

- Good broad clinical experience across a variety of specialities acquired through at extensive post registration rotations or equivalent.
